I remember when i was in high school in canada, my history teacher taught me that western countries colonized the world because they deemed it was "white man's burden" to educate the world and bring it to modernity. Is it now "brown man's burden" to save the world from all the plastic pollution, fast fashion and racism that has spread across the world thanks to modernization?
